The IDO is governed by the Board of Directors. The IDO Board of Directors approves the Organization’s annual programmes and the corresponding budget. These are presented by the Executive Director (currently Yohanis Riek), who is appointed by the Board of Directors. The Organization’s mandate is derived from the South Sudan NGO Act 2003, section 26 and its constitution. As the chief administrative officer of the organization, the Executive Director is responsible for the direction and control of IDO. He/she directs the work of IDO with the assistance of the Senior Managers in Programs, Finance and Operations. The Organization has national and local staffs of more than 20 working in 3 States of South Sudan.
